Frabel Glass Art Studio

The windswept tree was designed by Hans Frabel, principal artist of the Frabel Studio and for execution in molten crystal boron glass. Since it is made entirely by hand, no two of these glass crystal windswepts will ever be exactly alike. Every crystal glass windswept bears the initials of the artist and the registered signature/mark of the Studio. The windswept tree, to the Frabel Studio artisans, is a symphonic production of wind and mist in collaboration with the internal make up of the tree. The studio interpretation of these wonderful works of nature results from a series of painstaking accumulation of branches (each shaped from a boron glass rod heated to 2300¼F.) into clusters which are then joined to a trunk.
