Glass Champagne Flutes, Scroll Design
$550.00These champagne flutes were executed in molten boron crystal glass by Hans-Godo Frabel, principal artist of the Frabel Studio. Each of these crystal glass champagne flutes is signed by the artist. And since each champagne flute is made by hand, no two will be exactly the same.Each flute begins as a tube which is mouth blown into its slender, conic shape. While still hot, one of several patterns conceived by or acceptable to Hans-Godo Frabel, is produced by heating and softening a very thin rod and slowly applying it to the surface of the flute as an overlay. Then a foot is fashioned from a heavy boron glass rod which has been heated to the consistency of honey (at about 2300¼F). A thin rod then joins the flute and foot as the stem. Learn More -
